About Hari Nallan

As the Chief Design Officer of one of the most regarded companies in Experience Design, my primary responsibility is to inspire excellence for my clients, create benchmarks in the industry and influence positive outcomes in the society. Each day of my work encompasses addressing several challenges and creating a path of alignment through inspiration, influence and craft. To this effect, I undertake several key initiatives and ensure delivery of excellence at scale across Think Design’s practices: UX, CX, Data and Research.

A brief snapshot of what I do:
1. Inspire: As the Chief Architect of Think Design’s human centered practices, I develop proprietary methodologies, frameworks and thinking tools that address ambiguity and lead the path to clarity.

2. Influence: As the key stakeholder of brand Think Design, I socialize Think Design’s practices and grow awareness in the industry.

3. Craft: As a design leader, I direct and manage large-scale and complex programs involving cross-functional teams across regions. I lead from the front to ensure delivery of exceptional experiences.

4. Lead: As a design company’s head, I am responsible for creating the design organization that thrives on learning, thought leadership and entrepreneurial mindset. I identify competency needs among Think Design’s teams and develop tools, materials and partnerships to bridge them.

5. Manage: As the Chief Design Officer of an organization owned by a global leader, the Havas Group, I work with peers in our network to collaborate, coordinate and co-win.

As an industry thought leader, my initiatives include:
1. Delivering courses and lectures in institutions of national importance (NID, IIT, ISB among others).

2. Delivering seminars, talks and workshops at key industry events (organized by NASSCOM, TiE, CII, MMA among others)

3. Sitting in academic juries and advising on curriculum design.

4. Contributing to the design industry as a member of CII National Committee on Design.

5. Authoring articles of academic and industry relevance.

I work with incredibly talented people across the world and that gives me the motivation to look forward to Monday mornings. My professional experience of 17+ years has been absolutely fulfilling and I look forward to many more such years. My current mission is to develop the third-decade competencies among the designers I work with, thereby making them the most sought after minds in the industry.

A passion worth living for!
